RBZ 3D is a small, family-run laser engraving and 3D printing business based in Townsville, Queensland. We make custom electrical labels, switchboard labels, traffolyte signs, valve tags, and precision engraved signage — built for what actually goes on Australian boards.
The story
From a Tuesday job to a workshop.
I started RBZ 3D in my Townsville garage because the existing ways to get a few engraved labels were either “wait three weeks and pay setup fees” or “buy a sheet of 200 you don't need.” Neither works when you're a sparky on a Tuesday job.
I'd been 3D printing functional parts for about four years when the laser engraver landed in 2025. The trigger was practical — I needed labels that were clear, compliant, and built for real-world install conditions, and I wanted them on the same day, not the next month.
So I built the website I wanted to use myself. Type your text, see the price, ship it the same week. Single labels treated the same as bulk runs. Inspector-accepted traffolyte. Templates that match how labels are actually specified on Australian boards — not generic graphic design workflows.
We're still small — operated by my partner and me alongside full-time electrical work. Every order is made to order, quality checked, and produced with consistency in mind. Nothing about that scales by farming the work out, so we don't.
